The Legacy Award

About The Legacy Award

At the heart of the Gatsby Showcase Foundation lies a deep commitment to recognizing and celebrating the individuals who have left an indelible mark on their communities and industries. The Gatsby Showcase Legacy Award is a prestigious honor that seeks to commend and celebrate individuals who have made exceptional contributions to their respective industries. This award recognizes those remarkable trailblazers who have not only achieved remarkable success but have also created a profound impact that motivates and inspires historically disadvantaged groups.

The Legacy Award is more than just an accolade; it is a reflection of our vision to create a world where accomplishments and contributions are celebrated, remembered, and emulated. We believe in the power of acknowledging the extraordinary efforts of those who have dedicated their lives to making a difference.

We are thrilled to announce that Ann Tripp, the award-winning News Director of WBLS and WLIB Radio, will be receiving the prestigious 2023 Gatsby Showcase Legacy Award in Broadcasting.

Ann Tripp’s incredible achievements in her professional career, not forgetting her twice-hourly “news and views” on the nationally-syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show, make her the ideal recipient of this honor.

Ms. Ann has demonstrated her commitment to our community through her invaluable service on the boards of the Harlem Beauty Pageant, the New York Lung Association, Safe Horizon (formerly Victim Services), and the Make the Grade Foundation. Her dedication to making a positive difference is truly remarkable.
