Education EmpowermentYoung Women Enterprising Forum – Bell’s Multicultural Institute, Washington, DC : Empowering Future Leaders
We offer mentorship to students and young adults to guide them in their academic and professional journeys.
The Washington DC Young Enterprising Women Forum, in collaboration with Bell’s Multicultural Institute, marked a significant milestone in the foundation’s commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders. On December 5th, 2024, Laura Fote, co-founder of the Gatsby Showcase Foundation, had the honor of serving as a mentor for the forum. This inspiring event brought together young women eager to learn about entrepreneurship, leadership, and perseverance.
The forum was not just a learning opportunity—it was an interactive space where attendees gained real-world insights from mentors and fellow entrepreneurs. Laura Fote shared her journey from a registered nurse to an entrepreneur, emphasizing the importance of resilience and determination. Through storytelling and discussions, she encouraged the young women to dream big and pursue careers where they can impact their communities.
The event also focused on empowering these women to start their own businesses, lead organizations, and advocate for positive change in society. With The Gatsby Showcase Foundation providing mentorship and guidance, the forum proved to be a turning point for these young leaders, equipping them with the confidence to take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey.
We are proud to have been part of this transformative event and will continue supporting initiatives that foster education, entrepreneurship, and the power of mentorship.
