Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference

The founders attended the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 53rd Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, DC, from September 11 to 15, 2023. During this event, we engaged with several government agencies to seek opportunities for minority and disadvantaged individuals within the federal government framework. We built valuable relationships with representatives from the Department of Homeland Security, the US Secret Service, and the US House of Representatives’ Office of Talent and Development, among others.

Additionally, we met with representatives from Johnson & Johnson to explore potential partnerships aimed at securing resources and opportunities for underrepresented communities within their company. Our goal is to leverage these connections to create pathways for success and empowerment in the workforce.

As part of our 2025 plan, we will collaborate with these agencies and companies to organize workshops and provide essential resources aimed at recruiting minoritized and marginalized individuals in government roles and the private sector. This initiative will empower underrepresented communities and create pathways to careers in public service and beyond.
